FlourishTalk ("we", "us") respects your privacy. FlourishTalk is the company behind a family of wellbeing brands — FlourishIQ, RunWell4Life, GolfWell4Life and InspireWell4Life — created by Dr Alten du Plessis. FlourishTalk is the seller and payment processor for these brands' products, which is the name that appears on your statement. This policy explains what personal information we collect across our brands, how we use it, and the choices you have. We process personal information in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), and — for visitors in the EU/UK — the GDPR.
1. Information we collect
- Account & order details — your name, email, a securely hashed password (where you have an account), and the name you ask us to personalise a product with.
- Activity — your purchases, enrolments, progress and the responses you save inside the tools.
- Payment information — handled by our payment providers (below). We do not see or store your full card details.
- Communications — emails you send us and our replies.
- Limited technical data — a login/download session and, if you arrive via an affiliate link, a referral code stored in your browser for 30 days. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
2. How we use it
- To process your order, create your product or account, and give you access to what you bought.
- To take payment and send receipts, download links, welcome and renewal emails, and essential notices.
- To respond to enquiries and provide support, and to improve our products.
- To meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.
3. Who we share it with
- Payment processors — PayFast (South-African card payments) and Paddle.com (merchant of record for international payments), under their own privacy terms.
- Email delivery — for transactional emails (receipts, download links, notices).
- Hosting — our website and database host.
- Affiliates — if you arrived via a referral, we record only that a referred sale occurred, to calculate commission. We do not share your personal details with affiliates.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
4. International payments
If you buy from outside South Africa, your payment is processed by Paddle.com as the merchant of record. Paddle handles your payment data and applicable taxes under its own privacy policy.
5. Keeping your information safe & how long we keep it
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures (hashed passwords, time-limited download links, restricted access). We keep your information for as long as your account or order is active, and thereafter only as long as needed for legitimate business or legal/tax purposes.
6. The FlourishTalk Community & content you post
Our website hosts The FlourishTalk Community — free discussion spaces with their own lightweight accounts. If you join:
- What we store — your name, email address and a securely hashed password for your free community account, plus your community profile (display name, optional one-line bio), posts, likes, reports you submit and your house-rules acceptance. This lives in our own community database, separate from order records. No third-party community platform is involved.
- What other members see — your display name, initials avatar, optional bio and anything you post. Your email address is never shown.
- Moderation — posts may be hidden or removed, and accounts paused or blocked, where the community house rules are breached.
- Your responsibilities — please don't post personal information about anyone else, and share about yourself only what you're comfortable with other members seeing.
- Your POPIA rights — you may ask us to correct or delete your community account, profile and posts at any time by emailing support@flourishtalk.co.za.
7. Your rights
You may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or object to certain processing. Email support@flourishtalk.co.za and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
